My passion for photography began years ago, back in the days of analog. From the very beginning, I was completely captivated by the process. But even then, I faced one major challenge—developing a personal style.

I wanted to photograph everything.

One moment it was a brightly colored oil slick on wet asphalt… the next, a macro shot of an angry bumblebee… then the nuts and bolts holding a bridge together. My curiosity had no boundaries. At times, I questioned my own sanity—and honestly, so did my wife and a few friends.

What Is Enthusiasm in Photography?

Enthusiasm is often mistaken for simple excitement—but in photography, it carries a deeper meaning. The word stems from the Greek “entheos,” meaning “filled with inspiration” or “guided from within.”

In photography, enthusiasm is not just the feeling you get when capturing an image—it’s the inner force that shapes how you see before you ever press the shutter.

It is the difference between recording a moment and interpreting it.

Bit depth in photography significantly impacts image quality and editing. It describes the level of color information each pixel can hold, affecting smoothness in gradients. Higher bit depths, such as 14-bit or 16-bit, provide more colors and editing flexibility, reducing issues like banding and enhancing shadow and highlight recovery.

The Central Business District (CBD) of New Orleans is more than just a cluster of offices and hotels; it’s a living, breathing architectural timeline. While many visitors confine their gaze to the iron balconies of the French Quarter, the CBD offers a compelling journey through the city's complex history, where towering skyscrapers rise right alongside 19th-century commercial structures. To walk its streets is to unravel a layered tapestry woven from commerce, catastrophe, and cultural identity.

America’s Largest Block Party.  Cruisin’ The Coast® began in 1996 as a festival to celebrate antique, classic and hot rod vehicles, nostalgic music and related events.  374 vehicles registered that first year and in 2024 we had 9,961 registered vehicles. 

The park is located inland from the original site of Paris Landing which served steamboat traffic on the Tennessee River. The site is now under the waters of Kentucky Lake, which was created by TVA when the Tennessee River was dammed in 1944.
